Key West: Ibis Bay Beach Resort
October 20, 2015 1 Travel
I know that fall has definitely arrived here in Holland, so I thought it was a great time to show you a little bit more of my Florida trip today. Because a girl can dream right? I wish I was in Key West again it’s most definitely the prettiest place of the whole state Florida. In Key West I stayed at the Ibis Bay Beach Resort a resort close to the centre of Key West, great restaurants and supermarkets.
The Ibis Bay Beach resort is the cutest boutique resort hotel, with the best view ever, great rooms (with airco), a private terrace, big beds, a pool and the best restaurant of the island! The thing I liked the most was the ambiance of the resort. It’s not a big massive resort and the style of the resort is beachy, tropical and down to earth but still with all the luxury you need.
The rooms are full equipped with queensize beds, a fridge, a tv (love american tv, always something to watch), a big bathroom with a great shower and a private terrace with a very comfortable hammock(!!) and a table with chairs for the perfect breakfasts with the best view! I told you about the view several times and you will know what i’m talking about when you see the pictures below of the cute pier with sunbeds, the flowers, the beach and the several tropical animals who live in this area (an iguana, seaturtles and several tropical birds.
The best thing about Key West is that it’s the most southern point of the United States and the biggest benefit for us was the weather (we had rain everyday during our trip in Florida) but in Key West there was only SUN SUN SUN! It was perfect. It’s also the oldest town of Florida and the closest point to Cuba. Another typical characteristic of Key West is the architecture, almost all of the houses are made of wood and have big porches and balcony’s.
